Good to know
Questions, answered.
Straight answers about what AngadiOne does in the current test build, what it doesn't do yet, and when you can get it.
Product
What is AngadiOne?
A phone app for small Indian shops that handles billing, stock, customer credit (khata) and day-to-day reports in one place — instead of a bill book, a khata diary and a stock register.
Which shops is it for?
Phase 1 is being prepared for kirana and grocery stores. Garments, fertilizer and battery shops are planned for later phases — see the roadmap.
Can I take UPI payments?
You can show a UPI QR on the bill at the counter, which works with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and other UPI apps. AngadiOne records the sale — it is not a payment gateway and does not process or settle the money itself.
Does it handle GST?
Three different things, so to be precise: GST-ready invoices — yes, the current test build issues them with your tax rates, and uses a Cash Memo or a Tax Invoice as appropriate. GST summary and returns reporting — yes, included in the current test build. Both are still undergoing device validation. Live e-Invoice (IRN/QR) generation with the government portal — not part of Phase 1; it needs a GSP provider and is planned for a later release.
Can it remind customers who owe me money?
Each customer has a khata with their history, and you can send a WhatsApp reminder in a tap. Fully automatic scheduled reminders are planned for a future release, so today reminders are sent by you.
Can I bring in the dues I already have on paper?
Yes — the current test build lets you enter an opening balance per customer, so a paper khata can be carried over.
What is Simple Mode?
Simple Mode is designed for shop owners who want to start with minimal setup. Where voice assistance is available, the owner can speak the bill details, review what AngadiOne understood, correct anything needed and confirm the bill.
What is Advanced Mode?
Advanced Mode uses structured products, barcode billing, purchases, stock, khata, GST details and reports for more complete shop management.
Does voice create the bill automatically?
No. AngadiOne shows what it understood and requires the shop owner to review and confirm the bill before it is completed.
Which voice languages are supported?
Voice-assisted billing understands English, Hindi and Telugu.
Devices and data
Does it work without internet?
The current test build keeps working at the counter without a connection and syncs when you’re back online.
What happens to my data if I change phones?
The current test build can save a full backup of your shop to a file — products, stock, customers, khata, sales, refunds and settings — and restore it on another phone. A restore always shows you a preview first, adds to your records rather than overwriting them, and takes a safety backup before it starts. This feature is included in the current test build and is still undergoing device validation. Until that validation is complete, please keep your own records as well.
Which languages does it support?
Telugu, Hindi and English. You can switch the whole app in one tap.
Do I need a computer or a printer?
Just your phone. A thermal printer is optional if you’d like to print bills; otherwise you can share a PDF bill on WhatsApp.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can delete your account and its data from inside the app. This feature is included in the current test build and is still undergoing device validation. See Account deletion for what is removed.
Pricing and release
Is AngadiOne available to download?
Not yet. AngadiOne is currently in internal testing and has not been released on Google Play or the App Store. Join early access and we’ll tell you when Phase 1 opens.
When is it launching?
We haven’t announced a date. The app is still in internal testing, and we’d rather give you a real date than a hopeful one — the early-access list gets it first.
What will it cost?
Pricing will be announced closer to launch. We’re not publishing figures until they’re final — see Pricing.
Android or iOS?
Both are being prepared and they are not at the same stage. Neither has been released. Join early access for release updates.
